Jesus Wept !

Heading home from Chester after work this evening up the M56 and the heavens really did open up.

Traffic was backed up everywhere so took some back roads home and I traveled through 2inch deep stretches of pea sized hail, 1/2ft deep floods, burst drains pushing water meters into the air!

I have never experienced weather like that in the UK before and its bloody August !

Anyone else get caught in this?

I got caught up in severe rain on the M62 over to Yorkshire this afternoon, visibility was ridiculous - as was standing water. Didn't stop the occasional idiot flying up the outside lane beyond the speed limit.

And why is it that wiper speeds are always incorrect for british rain?! laugh

Also got caught on M56 travelling opposite way, looked like mid-winter not mid-summer.

Did M53 in VXT last night (well 3am today actuallyredface) and it was Monsoon conditions/ fookin dangerous. Loads of standing water and way too much force of rain to see where I was going. Had to use cats eyes as an audible guide to being actually in a lane!!

What's going on???
