Following on from the discussions on the other thread, i'd like to propose a run out to the evo traingle by Betws-y-coed in North Wales.

It would be nice to get a decent turn out, especially from the usual suspects (that means you Dave), so stick your name down and if we get enough interest, we'll post exact details...

If I still have this job then I'm supposed to be working that day. Better pencil me in as a 'possible'wink

I'd have thought that slightly covert (devious) would have been the best method regarding dates etc..... I still remember going with a group from the Porsche Rennlist group and having both the Police unmarked bike and Police helicopter paying serious attention at Pentrefoelas

I could be up for this, though as my M535i is at home, I may have to grab my 540i Touring by the scruff of the neck and bring that instead, which could be interesting...

Sal does have a point - could gauge interest and move it to a PM basis or a friends group on *spit* Facepamphlet.

You could do the Horseshoe Pass on the way there, this breaks it up nicely, and stop at the Pendorosa Cafe at the top?

Lunch in Betsy-w-coed, fill up at the Shell garage there, and then drive it clockwise on the way back.

No need to bother with the A5 bit of the triangle, it's no where near as good as the other two sides, and will be very busy on a July Sunday anyway.

And there's generally a camera van sat on it too!

I think it's probably best to postpone this if hardly anyone can make it and arrange it for a more convenient time to suit.

2 peeps or 10 doesn’t matter mate. It is the holiday period though so maybe one or three people away at the mo.

Scamera van could be avoided with a dawn raid, or is that complicating things?

This route needs bubble wrap on the front of the car if you keep catching up the car in front. All my stone chips can be traced back to this region!

No point doing that.

Probably easier with less numbers and won't gain so much plod interest.

I think you should go ahead with this one, then in a month or so we'll do another one, hopefully then the folks like me that miss this can do the next one smile

If it's open to anyone then I would be interested in this one!
As mentioned by Stuart the stone chips you end up with from that road are a nightmare mad and to make it even worse they're doing some re-surfacing there at the minute so there are even more loose stones on that section. (was up there Friday)
Having said that, it is still a great drive! biggrin

You're more than welcome to come along. I'll post up in the North Wales forum too...didn't think of that.
