Having decided that we would go for a good long drive on decent roads today come rain or shine we did precisely that. 200 miles in all out across to Chester and then on North Wales's finest and then back via Oswestry.

It rained a lot but the roads were empty and we found some epic routes but did not see a single classic car - I guess the owners were all too busy polishing them and don't take them out in the rain. Saw quite a few 911's and Evo's having fun.

To those who have never driven it - the B road from Bala to Llangynog amazing

That's odd, I was in the same sort of area yesterday afternoon and was surprised by the number of classics I saw out in the murky weather!

A gaggle of Triumph TR5 and 6s near Llyn Brenig, an (old) Lotus Elan leading a trio of Morgans (and something else I didn't recognise) on the A5 and then a bit later whole load of MGBs just parked up in a pub car park... Wasn't entirely sure where I was then though wink

Will have to try the road from Bala to Llangynog, didn't make it quite that far south yesterday smile

I saw the mini's on the A55 on my way home from Holyhead on Sunday. They did look pretty cool all in convoy.

that's exactly what I had been hoping to see - wrong place wrong time I suppose although happy to hear that some classics were being used

I organised a drive out from Charnock Richard Services up to Holker Hall in my Rover P6 V8, we also had 3 other Rover's plus my mate in his Lancia Beta Coupe VX.

That would be the TR Register I think. Some really high spec cars amongst them.
