Morning all,

Next weekend I'll be heading up to Blackpool for a mate's stag do. Looking at the hotel the best man's booked (specialises in Hen/Stag Dos!) I'm not convinced that my car won't get some unwanted attention if it's left outside. Are there any secure car parks or CCTV covered multi-storeys? I can't seem to find any on the web.

Any help appreciated

There's a car park right next to the police station entrance, try there, probably the safest bet.(There's literally two spaces right outside the front door, should be protection enough).

There is a car park under the Police Station as well, I always leave mine here as the Police car park entrance uses the same up and down ramps, so you'd have to be especially thick to try your luck in the Police Station car park when so many others are around.

If it were me I would avoid parking an expensive car overnight in Blackpool at all costs, even if it meant hiring a car or coming up on the train.
Of the public car parks the one next to the Police Station is probably the safest-staff drive through 24 hours a day and up/down the ramps to the Police parking upstairs. My partner used to work at the Police station and she used to park the newish Audi TT she had at the time in there and never had a problem(there are also some large single spaces). She did however hear of cars being broken into or vandalised there from time to time too,in spite of the proximity to the station.
If I absolutely had to park overnight then I'd probably take my car to the Imperial Hotel and park it prominently in the car park there, and then have a couple of drinks in the hotel bar making sure you keep the till reciepts.....

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate it smile

I've managed to get a lift with a mate in his beaten up old mondeo now so parking shouldn't be an issue. If it wasn't for this I was considering using the airport car park, sounds a bit OTT but after forking out to repair scratches once you take parking a bit more seriously.

On a different note, can anyone recommend or warn us off any bars/clubs?

Cheers

LOL, can't argue with that, Blackpool is not really top of the list for places to go at night, it's just pipped by Beirut.

You're not wrong, jeeeez what a place!

The stag do was last weekend, I ended up taking a hired Vectra estate, it got damaged in the central car park and has cost me an extra £60 to get repaired mad

The pleasure beach was pretty good though, made up for the rest of it.
