Hi all,

With the lighter nights and more pleasant weather (hopefully) approaching I'm thinking of organising a Forest of Bowland meet followed by a shortish run around some of the exceptional roads in the area.

A weekday evening would be good, or a Sunday, depending on peoples preferences.

On the route I'm thinking of there are plenty of great hostelries to meet/pause at for chats etc.

No dates or owt yet, just thought I'd poll opinion on attending..

All the best.

Ed.

Its an awesome area, good idea. I love it up there. Bit of a trek for me personally though so I´d be 50/50 for a sunday no chance for a weeknight frown

I'd definitely be up for that. I reckon that a Sunday run would need a pretty early start to stand any chance of some "fun"... But a weekday evening may have prospects too.

Flatpack and I would be good for a Sunday or an evening nearer summer where it's pretty light til late.

The other option is to do an early morning (quiet roads) sunday blast wink

I'll try to make this - midweek evening is preferred.

I'd be happy to do either.

Just avoid Broughton traffic lights if a Sunday, as they are mayhem.

It's looking like a Sunday is the general preference for this then?

I'll try and get to work on some dates.

I allready have the rendezvous point, route and lunch/natter stop planned. thumbup

Forest of Bowland is a rather large area, so depends where you're thinking and also whether Fifi would keep up hehe

Depends on how hard you want to thrash poor Fifi, there might be a couple of steep hills involved! smile

...it isn't what you've got, it's the way you use it...

The respose to this is looking promising, cheers everyone.

I think a Sunday is going to be best for everyone.

I'll get to work preparing some route maps/info to e-mail out.

Dates:

How about we kick off with the 18th May, (a way off I know, but hopefully the weather will be even better - and all my Sundays are booked up until then).
