There will be some serious cars out at Oulton park racing on Saturday and bank holiday monday.

For those who have never been this is a great circuit and one where you can drive to a variety of spots to watch the action and the cars in British GT are rather special eg Ferrari 430 GTC, Lamborgini's etc.

I'd agree with this. I'm planning on being there on both days and always have a wonderful time.

I urge anyone who hasn't been to go and watch...if only for the noise...ears

Yeah it is an amazing day. The VW cup is top draw, tin top action. The F3s always seem to keep the marshalls busy. The Ginettas can do some close racing. The formula ford is well, not exactly exiciting. The GT cars though, the noise cloud9 Top day out really recommend it!!

This is one of the cars in the paddick last year:

Does anyone know what time Oulton opens to spectators? The first cars are out at 8:30 on Sat so I'm planning on getting there quite early. And on Monday as well as I believe the traffic can be fairly awful around the circuit on raceday.

Never been to something like this, how much is it?

Can I just turn up in my car, jump out, find somewhere to watch and park my arse for the day?

You can park your arse for the day, but you should go to the pits and stand a few feet from a GT car being fired up ears

I am going along on at least the Monday, my club is also going. I often go along with the little one as he loves watching the cars and Oulton is great for being able to move between viewing spots.

It's the SXOC, mostly a group of 200sx trackday drivers. I have been to OP before with the 205GTi drivers forum though as well. Keep your eye out for us and say hello. Mine will be dark blue, with orange front 8 pots :-) I'll have Ted with me as well, infant school age, so should be easy to spot!

Weathers not looking good for Monday frown

Still trying to get along to this, and torn between qualifying today or race on Monday.

I'm going this afternoon Jack, I'll give you a call when I arrive to see if you're still there. There's a gt race this afternoon, so I'll watch that and then do one.

Damn weather is changing all the time! smile

Hi Chris,

Arctic conditions for pushing a toddler round in a pram!!

Load of nice cars there, though!! And quite fancy getting a Ginetta and going racing smile

Any runs this weekend?

No I didn't!! And I didn't pick one up.

320 quid and they provide the car? Jesus, that's cheaper than a trackday in the CS costs!!

Oh well, good excuse to go back on Monday to pick up a program.........

Cheers for that Simes
