I thought the same thing.

You can't even look at general information but you can look at the details for all the members down to some of their cars, contacts, occupations and birthdays.

Strange site. scratchchin

Several years ago I accidently attended one of these meets. We had an enthusiasts meet nearby and curiosity got the better of us.

If you like blue neon washer jets, silly bodykits, being in a car park full of people driving like knobs, generally in ste cars, in other words the exact opposite of a PH meet, then this the one for you.

Somebody started hand braking a fiesta and the Police arrived.

In general, if it's got the word "cruise" in any format involved, don't bother. Remember, bonnets open - enthusiasts meet, tailgates open - chav meet.

that aint us mate, you seriously got the wrong people there.

a number of our members compete in rallying, and have msa marshalling licenses, are track day guys, rwyb and drifters, with a wide range of cars and good knowledge. infact couple dragsters being built. yes cruising is what alot of us our into but, that should not link us to even tho sadly it does, to the chav minority who give out the bad name.

like i said, shame the chav imagine ruins a good socialable night, with alot of friendly people

haha well when the profile asks for how many mods your car has and when people say "33 - not really done much so far" I highly expect there to be some neons in there somewhere.
This was just a random car I clicked on..."poppin fresh" I think you'd say

did mike get the turbo 172 engine done, was well in the planning stage last i spoke to him

have a look round the garage. yeah there some chavy cars, always will be

but then look at the active members, skylines, mk2 escort rally cars, lotus, tvr, spec'd track clios, various drift and track cars.

just a shame the media ruin the name of what people choose to do. or what they like doing. but hey, if you dont wanna look then dont bother, doubt anyone will lose sleep. but for those into cars, customising racing or whatever its a good night.

Nicola, not only did I think before I typed, I have also attended at least three different meets related to cruise/krooze NW it what ever incarnation it now is.

Fact, the meets where full of idiots, but that was ok, you could choose not to go. But then when Warrington Police got heavy handed, justifiably so, a lot of them started attending our meet which was Jap only. This led to our meet getting full of idiots (mostly in non Jap cars) and eventually not worth attending due to the Police hassle.

I would love to be open minded on this, but seeing the level of response from you two, this is exactly what I'd expect from Cruisers. I don't want any cruisers at a PH meet, because one or two then tell their friends and before you know it there is a problem.

Many of us are on Pistonheads to avoid this type of hassle, hence why we may not take kindly to the above.

One honest question for you both, look at the address of that web site, and who is it aimed at, because it's pretty obvious to me who'll find that on a web search, and who it will appeal to.

Scott.
(Man who has had Max Power muppet cruisers ruin the best two enthusiast meets of the last decade.)

Driving like a tit in a Tesco car park is not rallying.
