Well, there's good news and there's bad news from Becca. I gave her a call today and she sounded a bit glum (which is something of an understatement)

The good news is that >>>fingers crossed<<< she'll be back on the air today or tomorrow; the Patientline Mr Fixit is supposed to be coming in to turn it off and on again.

The bad news is that she's not likely to be out before February. There are more (and more depressing) details, but I'll have to ask her if she's OK with having them broadcast.

Please drop in and see her if you're in the area. Ward AM4, Manchester Royal.

968 will hopefully pop up with some more accurate contact details, as he's been visiting whenever he can. Huzzah for 968!

Here's the original thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The Alfa thread title was a poor-quality joke of mine - you know, 80s Alfas: great cars, bit fragile.

It was suggested that Becca herself is like an 80's Alfa, poor thing. She's got a Nissan Micra iirc.

February!? Jeez that's awful, Christmas stuck on hospital is hardly fun.

I'm going to stick an Xmas card in the post, she posted her address on the Alfa thread, here it is for anyone thinking the same thing:

Can we have a whip round and send her up a care package - you know mini dvd player, gameboy, new books, porno mags wink etc??

I know she isn't a charity case but it would be a nice idea with Christmas coming up.

Any thoughts?

She can have my old playboys....perhaps I should soak them in warm water first? scratchchin

That ain't a bad idea... I thought the wheelchair thing was a bit too far without her actually saying she needed one, but I'm all up for a few quid so she's got some buttons to play with inside. Fnarr wink

Just don't get her 'The great escape' on DVD otherwise she'll be in the news come boxing day laugh
