Manchester rush hour traffic

What are people's thoughts on the traffic round here? I've just moved up recently, am in Fallowfield and I seem to end up working north of manchester a lot. Now i'm not far from the Parkway so is it worth me heading down there and jumping onto the nearest M60 junction?

My sat nav is currently taking me through 'town' and that takes at least 25mins...would it be worth going round on the M60? I haven't tried it yet before anyone asks!

You should be OK if you go Clockwise around the M60 from where you are. The traffic in a morning around that section will mostly be going the oposite way once you have passed the Eccles Interchange. Welcome to God's Country!

mmm traffic is horrid around manc.... avoid the A5103 southbound at rushhour.... and avoid rusholme at any time .... and as was say above.... one way round the M60 does seem better than the other (although i can never remember which)

Princess Parkway/Mancunian way is a nightmare in rush hour both ways. But its better than going round through rusholme etc.

Its a case of 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

In fact on the way back home today I did try to go on the M60 on the way back but think i ended up going the wrong way round (i.e. clockwise)! So got off quick and went through town. I didn't get it either, i followed signs for Manchester airport...wouldn't that take me to where I need to be?
