Now, I'm a regular 'up there' while I'm at home in Leeds. However, I've just moved to Sheffield, and as most of the Yorkshire stuff tends to focus on the bit above Leeds, its a bit far for me to go for a few hours in a pub carpark...

Are there any regular meets in the Peak area?

And my next question... Imagine the scene, its Sunday morning, the car is warmed up and full of juice, I crest the hill out of Sheffield past the 'welcome to the peak district' sign. Where do I go?

Where are all the lovely driving roads?

I'm Simon, BTW wavey

Go west, young man!

Explore the back roads around Marsden and into the hills - just make sure you stop before Oldham. That way monsters lie yikes

South from Sheff is good, too. There is the amazing Cat and Fiddle road (Macclesfield to Buxton) which is unfortunately well known to our friends both in and out of uniform. Watch this forum for gatherings in that area - it's kinda closed season now but you never know. Lotsa good roads round there, just head for Buxton with a full tank and have a nosey.

Buxton to Congleton on the A54 is awesome as well, but as mentioned now that the nights are drawing in there are a lot less meets going on frown
