Saturday Jobs?

Hi all,

This might sound slightly weird, but I'm currently at University and am looking for a Saturday job to a) pay for things and b) get an insight into the car industry. I've seen on a few posts some own dealerships/garages. Basically, I'm studying to be a Quantity Surveyor and have a fond interest in cars (who doesnt on this site?) and would like to combine my interest with a way of making a bit of extra money. Was wondering if anyone in the Manchester area is a "big boss" who is looking for someone to work on Saturdays? I understand its a long shot, but it beats the takeaway delivery driver I am now!

Can't help with this but might not be possible as they will want you every w/e and term times / committments might get in the way ? I looked at it when I was at Uni (as well as working at an estate agency) but time committment was too much. Might be worth speaking to BCA Belle Vue (www.bca-europe.com I think ?) the car auctions as they might find an extra set of hands useful now and again, and it would be interesting. Just a thought.

Thanks for that. I'll give them a call later. I'm prepared to work every weekend, and should have plenty of time for my other commitments and work, I've had jobs before that take over 3/4 days of my week and still got the grades I'm aiming for.

Weekly topping, surely someone has something for me in a garage/dealership for 1 day a week... its cheap labour! haha.

Needing something desperately, tried just ringing up dealers but none are looking. Need to get away from these late night takeaway deliver jobs

Monthly topping... still doing my delivery job but really am looking for something more car based on Saturdays.

still no replies from my mass email and letter to most of the dealers around. Someone here might be able to help me get a foot into a door?

When I say mass, I mean in number and not just blanket 'standard' letters and phone calls. I've actually been to a few in town and they said they have no positions to fill at the moment.
