Hi everyone, nice to meet to all last night. The run out was good fun. (I was the long haired lad from the GT3!). We ended getting lost (missed the turning in Croston!!) and ended in Leyland 5 miles from home!

We were following the Honda, who was following the White 3.2 Carrera (BTW Bob say thanks to the lad who kept slowing down for him, he lost you at the TTLs in Croston tho!) who got lost so 3 of us ended up in Leyland. Was an excellent run, we'll be back next month!

Hiya, I was in the blue Striker following you... Damn that GT3 is quick!

Apparently the guy in the Carrera turned off to go home, shame we didn't know and so all followed him smile

Great run though despite the minor diversion.

Lol! Having driven said car, i've renamed to accelerator to the adrenaline pedal, the acceleration in 2nd is phenominal. It throws you back in the seat and hurtles you towards to horizon (my only other driving experience is my little shitroen saxo!).

  • edit** Phil just txt me to say "I wasn't even pushing it and that's the truth."
The white carrera 3.2 (Bob) ended up in Euxton just ahead of us although he turned right instead of left. Some seriously nice kit there. How many people usually turn up?

Just to say a huge thank you to Alec for an amazing experience in the Atom, words can't describe how appreciative I am.

Thanks to everyone else for a great night, such a nice bunch of people!

Was an ace run out . . just a shame it's getting dark earlier!

Think Scott'll trim the run down a little for next month and probably aim to set off a little bit earlier.

Good turn out last night, think there were a couple more cars than the last few weeks, does fluctuate a little dependent on weather. Tend to see something new at every meet too which is nice smile

Did anyone take any pics? I'll try and remember my camera next month . . and hopefully I'll be fit to drive too!

I can believe it, there were a couple of times when he gave it plenty just briefly and I was expecting you to go completely ballistic but instead he just backed off straight away (probably because he'd caught whatever was in front rather quickly...)

It was getting a little dark by the end of the run wink Hope I wasn't dazzling everyone in front too much, got a feeling my headlight alignment isn't great. I'll have to sort that out and stick some decent bulbs in them if I'm going to use it in the dark very often as they're rubbish at lighting up the road too (Si must have had an interesting ride, passengering with me with a dark tinted visor...)

yikes the forum is properly broken at the moment, double post-tastic

We kept catching that Honda and to be honest, we didn't really know the roads so we had no idea what would around each bend! Your lights were fine btw! well for me they were but I wasn't driving! If it's raining next month, the gt3'll be left at home.

Great run! Good to meet you all again. The white porche was behind me, I did fear that the TTL's had got him as I hung back a little bit but didn't see him again after that. That GT3 is awesome!

Neil

Ps: Dave, I'm sorry!!!! bow

Yes I caught the car in front. Also "going ballistic" causes you to go well well above 100mph and with not knowing the roads didn't want to risk owt.
Oh yeah...I had a full tank of fuel so that was slowing me down tongue out

Interesting but great fun. Cheers for the ride Dave and it was good to meet everybody else (and have a drive in Kirsty's SC).

Hopefully my MR2 conversion will be back on the road soon. Engine came out today so it's all systems go.

Another good meeting, sorry if the last 5 miles or so where not as 'spirited' as normal, but my lights are cr*p and neither Kirsty or me knew the bends well enough to chance it.

Q has 'Sim' stopped smiling yet......think he enjoyed the trip in Alecs Atom!

Only just signed up to pistonheads having read a lot on the forum for many months.
I was the one in the white 911 on the run last night, sorry to anyone that followed me after I gave up having got lost in Croston.
I didn't know about the run out before joining everyone so didn't have much fuel but thought I would have ago with what I had.
Great to meet everyone and see some great cars on what would have normally been a dull evening.
Hope to see you all soon.

Never mind Bob - you're not used to actually putting fuel in your car because it always sits in your garage!! wink
