I'm coming back to complete my degree (4th and final year) after taking a year out working back home in Essex.

Is there a regular place you hold your meets, or is it varied? Are there any other PHers at University in Manchester, or live in the city?

There's meets in the peaks regular-ish, meets out near Ormskirk/Skem quite regularly. There's even talk of a possible curry meet in town but no-one can agree a date frown

No topic yet for the August Ormskirk meet I think.

People meet up at the Romper near the airport every now and then as well...

Did I miss anything?

I go to the University of Manchester, but I dont live there. Not that I'm a very good member of PH or have a nice car, but I'm still a Pistonhead'er!! smile

I live in the city centre. Most of my time is either at work or drinking in the Northern Quarter or spent at Ians garage in Middlewich.

live in whalley range

there isn't really a regular meet to be fair, although the peaks drives are fun.
if someone organised a regular meet im sure i could drag a couple of PH members down.

I will be living near Ladybarn Park - I never really looked at living over the Hulme side, it was too close to Moss Side for my liking. I lived near it in my first year, and was glad to get away!

Anna said there was another PHer there, but couldn't remember the login name paperbag

Are you in any of the teams/clubs etc?

nah.... i joined the formula student team for a while but got bored with that.
and i was thinking about the motor sport society but i can't do karting (long story) so seems pretty pointless.

maybe we should start a going to the pub and oggling all the pretty cars society?

i go on some of the PH meets, and gonna try and get along to the NMEG meets as well

I was a member of the FS06 team, going back next year I think (work permitting). It's ok, a lot of politics etc, but I just did my own thing.

Before that I used to row for the Uni, but 6 days a week training soon turned fun into a chore - after that came kick boxing, after that came a knee injury wink

It's not too hard to start societies, I ended up in one (don't want to say for fear of reprisals) that was set up to fund a few parties!
