Its been noticed that a few of us are almost local, and that it would perhaps be nice thing to have a meet, maybe with a view to making it regular...

rather than discuss it in dribs and drabs, how about a sort of preliminary meeting to organise a meeting (i've got a future in managment). i'm thinking lunch in the swan on sunday (the pub on the corner on the way to glasson dock, just after the open s bend on the way out from lancaster, and just before the little bridge on the way out to cockerham)

any takers?

Hi mate,

I'm up for it, I just don't know when I'm back home yet!

I'm hoping to be back in the UK later this month. It's one of the annoying things about working away!

I should know when I'll be coming back to the UK in the next week or so. I'll let you guys know then we can have that beer. smile

On another note, there is a fairly big North West meet that occurs every month, I think it's down in Cheshire. I keep meaning to go to that, but as usual I'm never here when it's on!

Could always go for something half way? I'm sure a few of us Cheshire folks would head up the M6 biggrin

Sounds like a fair compromise and I'd probably be up for that as well.

After all I've just driven the Atom down to Somerset today in the pouring rain (what a blast) so a little trip up to the wilds of Lancashire should be no problem. cool

The fact the you drove your Atom through that kind of weather demands a lot of respect! thumbup

Well, there seems to be five of us willing to meet up now...

Anybody else?

Just thinking of somewhere nice halfway between Lancaster and Liverpool/Cheshire.

Tatton Park is quite nice when it's not raining, just off the M56? Or somewhere a bit cheesy like Blackpool, in fact just outside Blackpool heading towards Pilling there are some nice roads and a couple of nice pubs too. smile

Just a thought.

I don't really mind the drive if we want to go somewhere like that. Aslong as there's plenty of petrol stations on route!!!!
