This weekend in Southport. Anyone going? Anyone been and is it any good?

Been the last few years and went today, its ok i suppose, you're best off waiting and going to Woodvale though, August 4/5.

I went today and thankfully the rain held off. Quite a few Yank motors there as well as MG's TR's Spitfires etc.

Also, large - ish displays from the local dealers (BMW, Mercedes, Mazda & Daihatsu).

Display track was set up around some of the park pathways. Saw a motorbike doing stoppies and burnouts. Quite a good display from the Liverpool Motor Club including a Fez 250 replica (a good one), various Lotus, a very quick Integrale etc.

There was also a contingent from the Italian Replic Car club including a 924 based Fez 250, Fiero based F40 and the usual MR2 based 355 and 430's. They were "interesting"

£7 to get in and £8 for 2 hotdogs and 2 cokes.

Shame I'm on holiday for the Woodvale Rally.

I went today as well, not been to this one before. Some interesting stuff there but not sure I’ll make the effort to go next time...was decent enough though.
Next to the 250 rep, I heard a young lad saying to his mate...”That’s more expensive than a 430 spider you know”



Nice Integrale as mentioned above.
