Blackpool Carnival 2007

Hello all,
I'm trying to organise a gathering of cars to become part of the parade for Blackpool Carnival. This year the event is going to be on the 5th August.
Currently, I'd suggest meeting at the Tickled Trout, Junction 31 on the M6, about 9:30ish for a ‘leisurely’ drive into Blackpool for the start which is about 10:30, just near Blackpool airport, with the ‘off’ about 11.30.
The Promenade is closed for the duration of the Parade, is about 3 miles long and it finishes at the Metropole Hotel, just past North Pier.
There is a static display around the Metropole Hotel area, at the end of the parade and although space isn't huge, they will accommodate at least 20 cars. When I did this event with the Smart Club, I know that there is enough space for 20+ cars.
There is no cost to enter the parade.
The whole event is for charity, with people walking the course collecting money. If anyone wants to walk the course collecting money, you’re most welcome.
Currently, there isn’t a nominated charity for this year, but suggestions are welcome.

As it is getting close to the day of the event, I thought I'd give this a bump.
We could have a meet up at the Tickled Trout and have a convoy into Blackpool.
It is for a good cause and a number of car clubs have already signed up, including the TVR club.
