smacs summer fun day, 26th August at Buxton Raceway.
Discussion
You are all invited to attend the SMACS SUMMER FUN DAY at Buxton Raceway in the High Peak.

The event will cost £15 per car, with unlimited access to the circuit, childrens activities, traders, show & shine competition and much more. The fun starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm.
I've invited all the neighbouring subaru owners clubs for the day out, but would also like you PISTONHEADERS to come along and show your cars for the day. You'll have your own area where you can all park up for the day, get the bbq's out and have a chill watching all the scoobys on track. You'll have access to the track as well, and I expect to see at least a few TVR's having a go
Film of my car on track: http://www.scoobysmacs.co.uk/Videos/BuxtonRaceway.... (16mb wmv file)
I've been up a few times to scout out the venue, and I can honestly say it's going to be a great place to hold a bbq. There is plenty of room for all the clubs to have their own areas, although we're not doing any stand competitions.
Some pictures of the venue;
Firstly taken from "live search" to show the size of the place:
A view of where everyone could go:
Some panoramas taken today to show how many can actually fit in. Round the track:
and the pit area:
See you all on the 26th
GET YOUR NAME DOWN ON SCOOBYNET HERE: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/northern-21/609252-smacs-... If you're not a member of scoobynet, don't worry, just add your name here and I'll update the list as we go along.

Chris, I'll make a top effort to get up there. High Edge brings back some memories..... I used to live in Leek in my teen years and there was more than the odd weekend spent up there watching bangers or moto-x.
Jack
PS any plans for another Wales trip soon?
And I have a new addition to the family!! My wife is picking up a B7 RS4 Avant next week!! So which car is going to go down better on the 26th?

Nice one Jack, be nice to finally meet up with you
Bring the porker, would love to see that going round the track, one of our members wives already has the rs4, came to the meeting in it on thursday
very nice!
I'll be sorting out another early trip out soon, although not necessarily to Wales

No Problem, Cayman it is.
I'm sure the RS4 will sound a lot more impressive than the CS around the track, but a bit or RWD instead of AWD action might make an interesting comparison.
And let me know when/where the next early-doors trip will be.
The RS4 is a very nice motor. Did you get the chance to go for a spin in it?

Cheers Jack, I've got you on the list
Didn't get chance to go out in the rs4, as I was working that night, and we had a big turnout again, over 40 members + the west yorkshire owners popped along as well
Our meetings are getting bigger!
See you soon, I'll let you know when we're doing another run for sure

I didn't know there was a top-speed comp as well!! Don't think I would have been able to beat the 65mph though...........
Let me know about any future outings, and I'll try and get down to next months meet in Dean Row. Say hi to Izzac from me and Jake. Great kid.
Cheers and see ya soon.
