Phoenix Motor Sports in Accrington do a very reasonable Geo. They are busy boys though...

Don't know the number, probably in the yellow pages or join Norlog.net to find them.

My car is going to Chris at Centre of Gravity www.centergravity.co.uk/
He comes very very highly recommended by the guys on s2ki and by all accounts he is one of the best.
I'm there on the 15th of April so will be able to give my own feedback after then.

Had 4 wheel geometry done on my Monaro at EARS motorsport in Macclesfield last year. They came recommended and were excellent. www.ears.co.uk, 01625 433773

Also RC Developments in Warrington - do a lot of Evo work and are very experienced at 4 wheel alignments.

What kind of price are you guys paying for a full 4-wheel set-up?

Does the type of car make much difference to who you use?

I've been recommended to try Loe Bank Motors, Edenfield. Any experiences?

Had this done in August last year and I really don't remember. I have a vague recollection that it was around the £80 mark - but I could be well off the mark. I know that they had the car for the day and spent a good few hours on it - the costs didn't seem out of proportion to the work carried out. Sorry I can't really help with your query !

Demon Tweeks.

£57 for a full 4 wheel alignment, done by somebody very experienced as well. I liked the setup and you get a full print out of before and after settings. Professional, courteous and quick.

Don't recommned RC Developments. They are something like £165 and didn't seem either very friendly or helpful on the phone.

Is £57 a full geo setup though (ie castor/camber/toe etc)

£57 seems too cheap.
Last time I paid about £120-150. I would guess cofg will cost a similar amount.

Fully recomend BLiNK motorsport (www.blinkmotorsport.com/) - speak to Richard for a full price break down as it really depends what type of Geo you are having. He can do anything from a basic wheel alignment to full corner weighting/ride height and 4 wheel infrared alignment giving before/after weights/measurements.

He specialises in trackday prep and I can guarantee you won't be dissapointed. He may not do 'run of the mill' cars and this is why you would need to speak to him to get a full appreciation of what he does/what's involved.

Saying something costs £65 is irrelavant IMHO as the levels of chassis set up vary quite widely!

Maybe it's the car but, I took my TVR Chimaera there a while ago on reccommendation. Told me he'd done one a few days ago but quite frankly, the bloke didn't know what he was talking about. Even told me that the car had no camber adjustment which even I knew was b*ll*cks! Ended up taking it to Automedon in Blackpool (TVR independent) who said they'd set the car up all wrong and argueing for a refund from Thistlthwaites.

£57 included toe front and rear and camber.

My castor isn't adjustable though as standard so can't say if this would have been included.

To whoever said price is irrelevant, you must have deep pockets ;-) To me, value for money is also important as is a good job, there's nothing to say a good job can't be a low price though, I was impressed with Demon Tweeks, and I don't even like them in general, and they did a better job than those claiming to be specialists charging 2 to 3 times the price. Car has never felt so good.

I didn't say that price was irrelevant - what I did say is to quote a price for a Geo as £65 is irrelevant as it doesn't state the level of geo carried out.

To do a full Corner Weight/Geo on my car (Westfield) would take 4hrs+; I very much doubt I could get that for £65?

Always get my road and race Tivs set up at Automedon.

Colin & Dave used to set them up at the Factory - so they'll do for me! yes
