Can anyone recommend a wheel refurber near Chester?

Got a couple of parking nics and some gravel rash on one wheel from Drift Day at Oulton Park.

You could try Saltney Tyres. www.saltney-tyres.co.uk/services.cfm

I've got a chap called Vince Lyons coming round to do our MX-5's wheels on Saturday. They're in a real state, and he's quoted £150 for doing all four. He comes in a van, has all the tyre-fitting paraphenalia with him, and does them on your driveway.

I'll stick up some before and after pics when he's been.

His number is 07865 287813, and I believe he's based over near Chester, but works around the whole North West.

Went to Saltney Tyres, they send the wheels away so no good.

But I did find a specialist wheel refurber in the same industrial estate, will be trying them next week and let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the help.

You could try Diamond Wheels in Stockport. Someone on the Cappuccino owners club got their wheels refurbed with them and they did a cracking job of it. Think they charge £45 per wheel for checking/repairing light damage, chemical strip, sandblast, powder coat and lacquer, including refitting your tyres and balancing.

I am also looking to get a set done but no one north of brum seems to own a cnc machine to do the cut finish i want. Diamond wheels don't have one so still looking.
I have heard there is one in preston but trying to find them is a nightmare.

These guys come & do the job at your home --if your area isnt covered on the map still give them a ring as they cover more than the areas shown. The job too 45 mins & cost me £88.

Just had an Audi A4 Cab returned to me after doing a 9 month spell with one of our reps in London. The wheels were absolutely devestated with all the kerb side parking down there, but I recalled an old thread from the forum and got Fenwicks to come round. What an astounding job - they're like new !!
Thoroughly recomend them.
