Help, can I borrow an engine crane?
Discussion
As the title says I could really do with borrowing an engine crane. I need to get the engine out of my kit car (2L Pinto) because the clutch is knackered. This seems like a good time to do the engine swap I've been planning, BUT I don't have an engine crane. Would cost about £50 to hire one for a week (not much less for a weekend), and over £100 to buy. So since I'm a cheapskate, (and a poor one at that!), does anyone have one I could borrow? Please...pretty please...grovel grovel.
Sorry folks, bit more info, I'm in Morecambe. If it'll fold up and fit in the back of a Saab 9-3 then I can collect it. Send us an Email Highflyer, as long as you aren't too far away I could pick it up, (with the proviso about fitting it in). Thanks for the offer, and all other replies.

Whats happening to the old pinto?
I am just about to drop a 2l into my Dutton Legerra and if its in good nick I already have a 5 speed and all the clutch/flywheel/etc in the garage.
Didn't see the post until tonight but I just bought one from machine mart too, watch yer fingers when fitting the rear swivel castors...

Yes, bit of a bugger to fit those castors, (first thing I did BTW). As far as the old engine is concerned there was someone on the locust forum/website who said he'd have it, but it's been a while since we chatted. If he's no longer interested I'll let you know.
