Inagural Alderley Edge Car Club Meet - Tonight!
Discussion
Hello everyone, just thought i'd raise awareness about the new car club in Alderley Edge which is holding its first meet tonight in the No.15 Wine Bar on the high st.
there are a few of us NWers going along and being as Alderley Edge is what it is, there is likely to be a simply stunning car park to view before/during/after the event.
I am reliably informed that the organiser is the chap who owns the No.15 but this should not put you off as i'm sure (from the literature) that it's more than just an excuse to encourage well-heeled custom
so, it kicks off at 7:30pm, who's up for a pint in the de trafford beforehand at say 7pm?

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It looks like it's going to be more of a social club than anything else. This is ideal for me really!
From talking to a number of the other chaps who attended, it seems that just as Tom and I thought, it'll be full of a diverse selection of people & cars. I personally counted 4 DB7 owners, 1 chap with a morris minor converstible, a couple of TVRs here and there and an MG or two.
Looking forward to the next one!

it was a successful evening, I am now on the committee (possibly the most sensible and grown up thing I have ever done ) so I shall have a direct say in how it is run and what goes on
I counted (apart from the DB7 owners) 2 Austin Healey 3000 owners, an MGA, a driver in the TVR Tuscan race series and owner of 2 Cerbs, a fiat 500 abarth, bentley conti GTC, ferrari 330 and a DB4. and i'm sure there were more

When is the next meeting then? Hopefully if it is the same time as I am in the UK I will head down, though at the moment it will be in whatever hire car I have!
it doesn't matter what car you drive, it's all nice and egalitarian and all about the love of cars and driving...there was a guy there with a 2 yr old boggo panda who was as welcome as anyone else because he loved his car
not sure when next meet is, probably this time next month but the first rally/meet/drive out is likely to be easter time

well, everyone needs a whipping boy to take the heat - you know, committee member kicks the cat, cat savages the mouse, and the mouse bites Pwig on the nose

Good to know his status is less than that of a mouse! I think he'll be genuinely touched.
