There was a drift day/trackday on yesterday (sat) which was bloody good fun to watch and I must say that while the fire spitting 911 Turbo was fun to see slithering round, the real stars had to be the old Beemers that never put a foot wrong thumbup

Great photo`s.

I was at Oulton yesterday doing my 1st ever trackday so did`nt have time to go and watch the drifting, hope u had a good day.

Oulton is a fantastic track and well organised, lots of cars were going off and even managed it myself once. Here`s a vid of the day

Hi, saw you in the Elan.

I was there yesterday, just taking the little one to watch the drifting and main track action though. It looked pretty terrible weather conditions as well.

I want to do a Novice day there myself soon, would have done yesterday but am still waiting for some rear brakes!!

Hope I bump into a few more from here next time.

Scott.

You could say it was a little wet lol, was worried about the weather myself being my 1st trackday but sometimes u`ve just got to bite the bullet. The Owner of the Ferrari in the vid above came speaking to me afterwards and had his son with him and seemed a nice chap, he was just saying he was taking it easy on the corners as he couldn`t get traction. Well half hour later someone told me he had crash the Ferrari and hit 2 barriers and really felt for him and believe his son was really upset.

Scottie what u driving?

Just edited this today, 2 of my fastest laps.

Monty, I saw you there yesterday in the paddock. I actually got a picture of your car but deleted it from my camera by mistake. Sorry. I was taking a few piccies of the stunning 3.2 Carrera in the paddock quite near your Elan and was going to come over for a chinwag but saw you busying away with a tyre pump so thought I'd leave you alone.

You looked faster than almost everything else on track. Tell me, what was the car that crashed that needed tha ambulance?

Hope you had a good day.

u know i never got 1 pic of my car in the paddock, Dico got 2 of me on track but didn`t come out well. The only photo`s i got was when i was in the gravel trap. lol

Was that the cream coloured Carrera? yeah Dico was admiring that one.

Didn`t know an Ambulance went out, it must of been for the guy with the Ferrari.

It was the dark one parked very close to your's.

What happened to him? All I saw were lots of blue flashing lights and lots of people standing by the pit lane.

Think the driver and his son was fine, they just send out the ambulance out as a precaution.

Some was started another thread under the track section

Hi Guys,

I was on the drfit day in the silver Porsche 924. Unfortunatly after about 1 1/2 hours one of the heater hoses split and I lost all my water. The cars o.k. but I didn't get it sorted in time to go back on the track. It was really good fun while it lasted though.

Did anyne get any photos or videos of me in the Porsche, please?

Here are some of my photos:

Did anyone see the blue Evo 6 when it span on the top corner before the pits? He is a mate of a mate and only had it a week, he said his heart was in his mouth when that happened!!!
There was just no grip everyone was saying, the white Skyline was havin to use 4th and 5th to stop tyres lighting up!!

Hi Monty glad to see you got all the stones out of your tyres, unfortunately the ferrari is going to take a bit longer to repair .Thanks for the concern but we are both ok, paramedics just checking us over, better safe than sorry. Will look out for you and Nick at a (dryer) track in the summer!!

Monstercrunch, glad to hear you are ok. That was sickening hearing from a passer by that 'The ferrari's crashed'. Not nice at all!

Glad to hear u and u`r son are ok, i didn`t have insurance for mine and would of been gutted if mine got damaged. Just hope u was insured and there wasn`t to much damage. Hope u do get back on track, as i`ve already booked another day at the end of Jan.
