Hi everyone

Can someone please tell me the name of the railway company in Blackpool? I might be going up there next summer, and I'm trying to plan my route from Cambridge.

Cheers,
Lucien

from cambridge - you'll need to get to either Manchester Picadilly or Preston, then change to the local service - Northen Rail to either Blackpool South, Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Blackpool North.

So easiest - since your off the main lines... Cambridge>Kings Cross>Euston>Manchester or Preston depending on serive at time>Northern rail service to Blackpool (which goes via Manchester or Preston anyway.

Alternativly Cambridge>Peterbough>Leeds>Manchester>Blackpool

The train from Euston comes straight to Wigan (quick as well, Virgin trains, I tend to book early, get a cheapo ticket then pay the £15 to upgrade to first class on the train) and then you can get to Blackpool direct from here.

'Tis a great place. yes The Blackpool trip was only meant to be a visit, though, and sadly, it fell through.

Maybe next summer, though. bounce
