Chester Road/M60 in Sale

Heading south toward this junction this evening, I notice that the 30 limit signs have taken on a somewhat permanent look. Does anyone know if there is going to be a sneaky reduction of limit here, or is it still around because of the works still going on on the slip road?

If it is going to stay, then it would be a prime example of a ridiculously low limit (dual carriageway - three lanes each way). Worse than 50 on the A6144(no-longer-M).

Well the roadworks on the motorway have finished but there is still a fair bit of work to be done at the junction, so we can only wait and see....

That's what I'm hoping. 30 at that point would be particularly stupid, given that it goes to 40 nearer Manchester. The 30 signs are still up near Dane Road, so I suppose that gives hope.
