No links but I said I'll bring Bluey so a form is coming my way and I'll post any info when it arrives. We just called in last year on the strength of "classic car show in Fiddler's Ferry", drove to Fiddler's Ferry, followed the signs tied to the trees and that was that. A range of motors from every era and different parts of the world. Oh and it's free entry, I believe.

I'll probably end up going and having a look around as I'm not far away. There was some interesting stuff there last year. I remember this in particular

I saw that GT40 driving away last year; sounded great. It wasnt there today though. Did you go, Pickle?

For those who didnt, it was a really good gathering, with around 80 vehicles there. Mark & Angie Gray - River P6 Club committee - came from the Midlands; a guy with a pristine Jensen Healey won best car - He ought to have; I mean, he even electrically buffs the chassis rails to clean it and he is starting to teach his girlfriend how to "concours prep" it.... she's being allowed to start on the tyres first. A nice Lotus Cortina, owned 20 years; a lovely 1937 three wheeler air-cooled Morgan; several P6 Rovers, a few MGBs, inc an MGA, which won second prize; plus a selection of old Brit bikes, with not a drop of oil spilt, including the best-of-bikes award winner, a Triton.

I took info about TVRs in general & the Griff inparticular, which a few folks found interesting, which was nice.

As I say, great little set up, lovely people, and right next to the Fiddler's Ferry pub, too with a BBq, at the Yacht Haven boatyards. Will let you know when next year's is. It can only get bigger

Nice one, Paul! You never said Hi, but that's a fine shot of The Blue you got there.

That Healey was ace. He was made up I knew they were underrated, and told me he has put 3000 hours into it - and as a body man, he'd charge £20 per HOUR .... and a mate of his has spent £20K on his, but cant sell it for £5,500

My fave was the Morgan 3 wheeler

I've just reduced the pic width above as they were too wide for the page if you noticed the pics change order! That Morgan was great to see wasn't it, 1937?? didn't realise it was that old! I should have said hello I know, there seemed to be plenty of people interested in the griff, it's always funny listening to people as they walk around the cars, I can tell you there was lots of "Oooo, that's nice" type comments directed towards your car I don't know anything about those Jenson Healey's so that was a really interesting car to see

Cheers, Paul. I had wiped things over in the bay, but even if I'd known they gave prizes away, there's no way he'd have won anything. But there were some people who'd never seen one before. I even sat one couple in with the engine running so he could blip it a bit, and get a feel for the thunder, cos she'd said "Oooh, isn't this the car you've always wanted?" "Yes, dear... I used to want a TR6, but now I can afford one, I'd like something better".

Ok, now I really wish I’d said hi. I would have loved to have heard “The Blue” I just feel a bit silly going up to people saying “Are you [insert strange name here] off t’internet”

Good pics, thanks for bothering. I have just got to get another TR6 after seeing that one, good memories flooding back

The pics don't really do the TR6 justice, it's a handsome example that one

Paul - if I'd said "Hi there, CarConnoiseur!", half the show would have turned round, but I wouldnt have been embarrassed. However, as your other name on your profile was, until recently, "The Pickle", you're right; I'd have found it hard to say Hi
