The Blackpool region of the TVR Car Club meet this Wednesday (25th January and the last Wednesday of every month) at the Shovels Hotel (only a mile or so from the end of the M55 at the roundabout by Mercedes-Benz Blackpool!) and the West Lancs region meet next Wednesday (and the first Wednesday of every month!) at the Rigbye Arms, near Wrightington - just off Junction 27 of the M6. www.tvrwestlancs.co.uk/
You'd be made more than welcome at either of those!

Welcome Nick
Had mine nearly two years and still grinning like a whizz freak on a come-down, been told it can last for the term of ownership.
Is it your first Tiv?, if so take it easy until you become accustomed to its little quirks and mannerisms....esp this time of year.
Hope to catch you at a meet,
Take care,
Cooky

Thanks for the welcome, going to try to get to west lancs meet next Wed so hope to see some of you there. Cooky, i saw yours at ians a couple of months ago, i think it was in for a alloy dash? i was there getting some advice on buying one as its my first Tiv, yes i am treating it with respect had a couple of tail out moments at 70+ but i'm feeling my way with it and to be honest it seems fairly predictable but i'm sure it will bite me soon enough, took it to ians last week to sort an alarm prob and stop the exhaust catching, got it on ramp for a good look and found no major probs, ian rekons i got a bargin. Here's a few pics for you all.
Cheers Nick.

where did you find it?
Private sale out of ph classifieds was up for 18.5k which was over my budget so i offered 16k and got it,i think his wife was on his back to sell it as she hated it, got 9 mth waranty on it as well, so far only probs are 1 drive shaft boot needs doing and 1 front shocker leaking a bit so it could be a set of nitrons shortly, other than a sports exhaust its standard, which i like,so well chuffed

Fook me I was going to offer £17k for that but he didn't seem to like the idea of a Saab convertible P/x never bothered to respond to my E-mail so I bought this one instead
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=230807&f=116&h=0 Probably catch you in manchester airport tunnel windows down soon, mines not the "standard" sports exhaust it has imitation(brit)"cherry bombs".(fingers in ears smiley).
Nick,
Congrats, that is a lovely looker, not quite enough blue for me (suffering City Fan) but neverless a superb example, you done real good
Don't buy the Nitrons without first considering Protec , Got mine about a year ago and they have really made a difference, sh*tloads cheaper than Nitrons too.
You made a good choice in going to see Ian (Middlewich) too, he will put your Cerb right and keep the £s in yer pocket. If you want any advice ie, fast road set-up or other bits of tricks, checkout Joo (Trackcar) as he also won't "have your pants down" with the bills.
It has took me about 12 months to learn how to drive mine, but then most who know me say I drive like a T**T .....but most of all Enjoy what you have...
Cheers
