Claire I have only just read your posts re your dad, I am gutted. I have always sung his praises because he is such a genuinely nice fella. I bought my 1st TVR a 2500M, which had been fire, damaged at the factory when Martin Lilley owned the company many moons ago and met your dad a few years later. He and Mike Penny always looked after me when I was having a car built, I always changed things during production (my 390 was the 1st one to have a SEAC dash specially built for me) including a chassis strut moved to fit my mobile phone in the centre console of my SEAC in 89!
If I called to pick my car up he would drop what he was doing to take me to see the latest "secret car" the guys were working on or show me a new colour they were developing, nothing was too much trouble for him. He has always been TVR through and through; he is always so enthusiastic and is one of the few old school guys that are left there.
I have said it before and will say it again he is a credit to TVR Engineering and a top bloke, please give him my regards....truly sad news.
