Hi

I'm new to the forum but have been reading up on Tuscans for a while now, and finally after so much deliberating pick my car up on Thursday. I now need to think about where the bloody hell i'm going to spend all my hard earned money servicing and fixing it! I live in Tameside which is about 8 miles east of Manchester. I would appreciate it if you guys could advise me of a good TVR garage, ideally as close to home as possible!! The only one I know is Christopher Niels in Nantwaich.

Will post a picture when the beast arrives!

Join the TVRCC there are plenty of adverts for TVR servicing around the Manchester area.
BTW Christopher Neil is in Northwich.
I live in Northwich and take my car to Ian's at Middlewich.

Shane at SFR Engineering - Reddish, Stockport. He is your closest independent rather than franchised servicing expert.

You've also got HL Gorner in Wigan, but Ian is the one to use. Cheapest and best.

hmm .. that does sound mighty unusual .. Ian's customer service is rightly highly praised and shouted from the highest rooftops by me and a great many others. I'm sure there's a good reason ..

Ian gets my vote evertime. I travel from W.ton to get my car done. I sometimes have to wait cos the lad sometimes works till 7 or 8 in the morning getting peoples cars finished so you have to be a tad understanding. Peter

Dropped my car off with him today & he told me about this & I believe he has left you a message to try to resolve this for you. (He was working on a Cerb until 7am & went home to shower & fell asleep) He prides himself on his customer service so is understandably upset to have caused you this problem.
I believe he has left you a message offering to collect your car & return it for you after a service?
I know it's little consolation to you & I too would be p***ed off if it had happened to me but I can honestly say I wouldn't take my car to anyone else.

Cheers
Howard.

PS 8 other TVR's in there today we can't all be wrong!

Shane at SFR gets my vote he's looked after my speed six (because they do need looking after) for a while now, always able to solve a problem first time. Highly recommended

Ian is my other half, he came home at nearly 7.45am on the Sat morning. I know 'cos I was asleep on the couch waiting for him.

The same thing happened on the Saturday night, I had a feeling it was going to be a late night, so wasnt too bothered due to a bottle of wine, a packet of Minstrels and X-Men followed by the Worlds Strongest Man.

He often works stupid hours so I tend to see him at the garage or when he is asleep..!

My housemate is now used to me cooking dinner for Ian at 3/4/5am and makes a joke of it.

When and if you get to know Ian, you will know the hours he works are odd to say the least and make allowences for the fact that he may have only had 2 hours sleep/gets to work an hour or so later than your allotted time.

He is a great bloke, a top laugh and good at his job.
