Skoda/VAG Specialists in the North West?

I was recommended Volksmaster in Manchester but they quoted 150 just for an oil change. ....just oil.
Going rate now for bigger place. Awesome start at the same price just for oil and oil filter. Try Wigan Tuning. I used to take all my VW/Audis there. Still take the wife's MK5 Golf there every year for a service and MOT.
I know they have overheads but unusually its an old garage block in a run down area. Most of them buy from places like eurocarparts where oil etc is cheap after discounts. I wouldn't mind paying higher prices if they ran plush dealers like main dealers but they add 'specialist ' on and suddenly they charge more...
I've used one on the Wirral a few times but there's not a lot of difference in their prices, which are always slightly uncertain, and the dealer. I hate the dealer but on the cambelt change just done I decided to go with them just for the peace-of-mind especially as I've kept the VW extended warranty running. It's also a faff that the indie doesn't have courtesy cars.
I use a specialist for my Merc and they too seem to pitch their prices so they're just slightly cheaper than the dealer.

If you are near Bolton, try Bloor Motor Works in Horwich. I had my Cupra plus my partners A3 serviced there. Decent amount cheaper than the main dealer, and the service is quick - they don't keep your car all day.
Courtesy cars are little Kia's but ok, but if you want to wait, Horwich isn't great for 2 hours!
Services still get logged on the VAG system.
