The Horse Power Challenge
Discussion
Ok...maybe not quite what you're thinking...I mean REAL horse power!
I've just been told about a riding centre that's quite near the Cat and Fiddle (bonus!). They cater for all riding abilities and if there's any other experienced riders they can split the group off half way so some can get a good canter! So long as you're under 18 stone.
Anyone up for it?!

It's not scary!
ok maybe a little bit when you're dragged under a cantering horses feet with 1 foot in the stirrup and end up loosing half the skin from your legs, back and ar$e!! BUT THAT ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS!
Na, if you've never ridden before it'll just be a nice leisurely hack, maybe a bit of trotting if you're feeling energetic!

Great!
So what's your riding ability based on this...
Please do not over estimate your capabilities
Beginner - Someone who has never ridden, or ridden once or twice.
Novice - Someone who has ridden before, can walk with confidence and has experienced some trotting.
Intermediate - Someone who is competent and capable of performing a rising trot, and who has experienced some cantering and able to apply correct aids to guiding and stopping the horse.
Experienced - Someone who is competent and capable of a canter, and who has performed some galloping and jumping using correct aids.
V.Experienced - Someone who is competent and capable and can demonstrate the correct aids in all disciplines of horsemanship including jumping, and who is comfortable riding a forward going horse.
