Speed cameras - M56 / Manchester Airport

Looks like there is speed cameras going in on the M56 eastbound into Manchester. Starting around the airport.

Yellow poles on the verge to the left (with no cameras), and speed camera signs (saying not in use) deployed.

I wonder how long until they are installed and turned on.

Roadworks coming? Or something more permanent?

Unsure. I’ve tried to google but with no success.

These appear to more permanent in type, rather than your standard yellow ‘street light’ type pole. Slightly decorative?! If one could call it that.

Wouldn’t surprise me that they are putting in average speed or something.

However, the airport is being overhauled, so they may be changing things.
