Gridlock,Elk Mill retail park Oldham 29/9/17.Cause?

Around tea time on Friday it took us forever to get through as the road from the Tesco roundabout down to the Elk Mill roundabout was closed off by the police.
Anybody know why?

Sad replying to my own post but found out about it now.

Motorcyclist died after collision with three cars, seems to be further up than the roundabout on Chadderton way.
How sad.25 years old.
