Porsche RS day 2017 - Oulton Park 10th March
Discussion
I suppose this could be a topic for the day itself and the owners who'll have their cars there this year.
I don't own a Porsche and without a miracle perhaps probably won't but I was wondering, can you just turn up as a fan of the brand to see the cars in the car park and watch them on track or do you have to have some sort of permit to gain access?
I've seen plenty of great photos posted in the spotted threads over the last few years of the various GT models and other things so I'd love to see them in person but obviously the lack of Porsche ownership just made me wonder.
Cheers in advance.

When i have been in the vicinity I have "called in" at Oulton park quite a few times on the off chance that something might be going on on track.
Each time there was no restriction on entry, and no admission charge, it was all free.
A few had been track days for motorbikes and others just general track days for cars.
Dont see why the porsche day should be any different.

You can buy a wristband for £10 which allows you on track as a passenger. Most drivers are friendly and will oblige if asked nicely. It's free to enter and wander around the paddock, pits and view from the pit wall. On the RS day there tend to be some really nice cars on track and some more valuable ones just turning up for a chat with fellow Porsche owners.
Great day today, shame the weather was not as good as Thursday but still I think everyone had fun.
