Manchester Classic Car Show
Discussion
I went a year or two ago, and I've heard from people I know on display there (well, their cars) that it's getting better each year. I haven't got chance to go this year but am hearing good things about the stuff on display. Needs a few years to find its feet, I suspect, like most shows.
I went yesterday, thanks for posting about it. I last went to this in 2014 and thought this year was very much like that with a lot of the same cars. There were many seriously original, immaculate and interesting things to see. I was surprised by how busy it was and the large queues for the 10am opening, it was a bit mad so went straight through to the club section until the initial rush died down, so a good thing that people are interested in a car show there. Pics came out rubbish (inside/blurred/flash/poor cam).
I thought it was a bit un-pc to refer to cars as “gay” these days? Or have I got the wrong idea....

I think part of that is down to the entry requirements - that is, get the car in Friday evening and leave until after the show is closed on Sunday. So it's got to be people that can get a lift back, or are happy to stay locally, or clubs that have the money to pay for their exhibitors to stay locally, so not just like a normal classic show. That's bound to limit the available "pool" of exhibits.Gassing Station | North West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
