We're in the design phase of our new build near Delamere but I'm wanting to make a start on identifying and assessing potential trades that I'd approach for quotes nearer the time - I'd hope to be out of planning in October/November. Can anyone recommend any excellent and reliable groundworkers, builders, roofers, electricians, plumbèrs, plasterers etc that are local to that area? The house will probably be a very efficient timber frame construction with stone and render

Thanks Paul - shame you're a distance away. We won't be starting the build itself until the end of the year or even early next - we're just going through the design stage now

Thanks Dave. I think he may be a bit out of the way, but I'll certainly bear him in mind smile

Are you aiming to self manage the build yourself and if so do you have the experience to do so? In procuring all separate trades I dare say you'll have a rake load of variations and such. Could be worth while paying for the risk and just getting a builder to do the full lot?
