My Vauxhall Vectra 2.2SRI remapped too 180BHP, and has a straight thru exhaust is back firing in every gear change, even randomly slowly down ect..
This is causing my engine management light to come on every couple of weeks.
Somebody on here said this 'The ECU is registering a catalyst fault code because it has not got a cat.'
So in relation to the topic, anybody know of anybody in St.Helens/Merseyside who can fix this?

I would also go back to the re mappers. When they remap for performance they can also blank certain fault codes etc at the same time. If the cat is removed you would expect them to blank out the readings from the rear lambda sensor (which I guess is no longer fitted) to stop a cat fault throwing the engine light on?
Try these guys.. www.adetuning.co.uk they sorted the light on my dash after a remap
http://www.voxcar.co.uk/ - are Vauxhall experts.
They did some work on my wife's car for us - which is a Renault - and were excellent - and very reasonable.
Local too - Boundary Road, opposite Morrisons, in Stellins.
