All the fun in going on holiday, is driving down in convoy on the left hand side. I found this out when I went to le mans this year.

Bolls. I've driven down to Southern Spain a few times in the Tuscan S and could easily persuaded to do so again. How about Estepona in June? I'm in Florida April and May /blowing trumpet-on/

Ok Clive I have also driven to Spain a few times and it is great fun. You of course would need at least a day more than me due to your great age and the TVR handicap.

Pah! All the roads are staright apart from a few twisty bits North of Madrid and by the time I got to that bit I would have a commanding lead. Age = experience. You whippersnapper!

I've allowed for a siesta. What are breakdowns? As for mileage per tankful I've no idea as I don't need to know unlike a deseal owner.

I have been doing some googling, stuff very close to Le Mans is already booked, as you would expect. But there is no shortage of huge great farmhouses, gites, castles etc to be had about half an hour or an hour away from the circuit. I have found a few already that sleep between 12 and 20, roughly a thousand quid for the week. Problem area may be we need to rent for two weeks to cover Le Mans weekend as usually Saturday arrival/departure.

This place was very cheap...just 289 euros a week
