Some of you may have seen my post last night about an idiot I encountered on the East Lancs.

Well tonight, things became more sinister when 3 scrambler bikes came up behind me near the showcase cinema whilst one of the riders started booting the side of my car. I saw a police van and made a beeline for it. One of the idiots continued booting the side of the car. As soon as he saw the police he rode off.

The police think it was an attempted car jacking as it showed all the signs of it. I think that the guy last night was trying the same thing.

I'm asking if anyone saw the incident or has any sightings of the scrambler bikes in the area to let me know.

As for the car, it is a piece of metal. It can be repaired/replaced.

I know this is a long shot but any information would be appreciated.

I'm going to play devils advocate here...

If this was an attempted car jacking why would they use three motorbikes? Surely they would have to leave a bike behind for one of them to drive away your car - unless one bike had two people on it?

From your previous posts in the spotted thread - perhaps this could be a continuation of the first incident. Someone takes umbrage with you (for whatever reason), your car quite recognisable, you do the same journey everyday, person from the same incident decides to have another pop at causing damage to your car.

It would not come as a surprise to me if these perpetrators were reading these threads and decided after your initial post to try and exact some sort of revenge.

Just my 2 pence worth and trying to ease your fears of a potential car jack.

Irrespective though - events which have occurred are nothing short of horrible.

There were 2 of them on one bike. Im only trying to warn people and ask for some help from the community. I cannot and will not provide all the details on the forum but I can assure you I have not done anything to annoy any other driver.

all joking from the spotted thread aside mate, you must be the most unlucky bloke on earth to have been the victim of two attempted carjackings at the same spot two days running!

So is the idea that you get out of the car to ask what their game is - only for someone else to jump into the car and off they go??

What sort of time was this?

I would be amazed if that was an attempted car jacking. If it was then you encountered the thickest car jackers around. Car jackers generally pounce on stationary cars when the driver is getting in or out of the car - they either follow them home or pounce in petrol stations or car parks. Kicking the side of a car in traffic will just result in the car driving off, exactly as you did. When surrounded by 3 motorcyclists kicking your car I don't think there's many people that would get out of the car, I certainly wouldn't.

Agreed - if you were going to car-jack someone on your motorbike, the capacity for getting yourself injured (killed) is huge.

Do you think the two incidents were related??? Seems odd if they were, one idiot and his GF compared with 3 motorbikes!!!

And i'd add that albeit they're only 5 miles or so apart, the Showcase end is very much Kirby area, whilst the Windle incident is very much St Helens.

Either way, not here to argue with OP/victim - hope all gets sorted out for you soon mate!

Technically Norris Green isn't it...

I pass that cinema most days on the way back from Knowsley over to the Wirral, don't think I've ever seen a Monaro on that stretch unfortunately. Normally knobbers in boring rep cars (i.e. me!).

Keep your doors locked in future in case it is targetted.
