Ormskirk MotorFest, 25th Aug
Discussion
Just thought i would share, that the Motor Fest is on in 3 weeks time, enough time to start planning

The entrants list makes a good PHer read, which includes a six wheel Formula One Stock Car powered by an 8.0 Litre / Dodge 650 HP.
As all entrants are permitted to parade several laps around the closed roads of Ormskirk town centre, everyone can see and here these machines.
see you there

Great event. Was great to see some of the entrants put on a show round the track. Some lovely old and unusual machinery.
Only gripe was the guy on the PA. Moved away from the start line after the first lot went out to get away from his inane ramblings, but not before he decided to reveal the F1 result. Total bell end.

had to give it a miss this year was booked in car no 121 very disapointed been looking foreward to it since last year but my little fella Murphy a WCS of 13 had a minor stroke on Thursday and he is wobbling all over the place, vet said 24 - 78 hours is the critical time so I have been looking after him 24/7 a slight improvement but not out of the woods yet he is really trying to walk in a straight line with his head on one side but just cant get it right and he doesn't understand why, before thursday he was running around like a puppy he is so fit, really knocked me and him for six.

What a great event it was, thoroughly enjoyed it, and what a perfect day for it too the downside was that it was chocker, you literally could not move; never seen so many people. Very pleased to see so many great classics out, too many to mention but some very nice, immaculate looking examples. This is what a car show should be like.
Noticed that there was no sign of the Jaguar C-Type that was listed as being there, had a good look around and it wasn't on display or during the main parades. Also, I assume that the red Jaguar SS100 that took part in the parade was a replica? noway could that have been an original as they are priceless, but, according to the pdf file I downloaded of the members cars, there was no mention of it being a replica/recreation.
