Has anyone used short term car storage in or around Manchester? Looking to store a car for a couple of weeks. I've come across http://www.lancashirecarstorage.co.uk/ but wondering if anyone had used them or something similar.

Thanks!

I've used their place near Preston, so can't comment on their Manchester location.

On the whole the experience was very positive. They love the cars and understand people that can be a little protective.

However, if you want this on a log term basis, e.g. you're overseas then great. If you're using them and you'll want access at short notice, 'cause it is a nice night and you fancy a blast. Then it becomes a problem arranging access.

Spoke to them on the phone and they said they don't accept shorter term storage, I was only looking for 3 weeks. I've found a place called Access Storage but it's rather expensive and I need 3rd party insurance which is around £120/month!

If your just after cheap short term storage for two weeks and it's nothing too exotic, I would guess that your best bet is to talk to some of the airport parking boys, such as airparks. I think most offer premium indoor storage for a few quid extra.

I know a place where you can keep a car - but it's near Wigan if that's of any use?

Outdoors and not securely guarded but behind a very big fence on and ind estate that is patrolled generally at night. Let me know if of interest and i'll speak to my friend who owns the site.

Thanks for the offers, I think I've found somewhere which is only £30/week and they're a mile away from Piccadilly train station. Not sure if they'll be useful in the future as I'm only able to store the car there as they've just expanded and have an empty 6000sqft unit for packaging materials with staff only access.

Looking for storage again but the company I used last time is renovating the unit I used last time!

If anyone knows of somewhere I can store a car for 3 weeks let me know, needs to be indoors and ideally with electricity so I can plug in a trickle charger otherwise I'll come back to a dead battery after 3 weeks! Looking for 3 weeks from September 4th onwards.

Thanks!

We're almost set to have something up your way chap but alas I don't think will be ready in time for when you need...Our main firm that we handle all our transporting with is forever up your way delivery/picking up in around Manc, so if you do get desperate we can potentially have it picked up as a backload and dropped off at our unit down south, then picked up on a secure empty lorry due up your way and brought back to you when you're ready for it smile

They're there 2-3 times a week so it's something very easy for me to setup if you're REALLY stuck smile
