im jus coming up to the end of my first year driving in a 52 1.0 Vauxhall corsa flashy I know haha which im paying 3000 on insurance on!! an im 22, I really cant decide what car to get next ive narrowed it down to a few which are a3 1.4tfsi 1.6 55 plate onwards golf 1.4 or 1.6 55 plate onwards Volvo c30 1.6 Vauxhall gtc 1.4 turbo or new megane which I think is a 1.5 i know someone who works in mini aswell so could sort me out with a mini cooper sport any advice on them?? I cant really go with any bigger sized engines as insurance is worse. also don't know weather it would be worth while getting a brand new one due to free insurance warranty etc if any body could shed any light on the subject would be more than grateful an im welcome to other suggestions.

basically im after something that's pretty quick got mod cons an not to thirsty but saying that anything will be thirsty compared to mine an will not get completely smoked by my mates Ibiza 1.8 fr haha

cheers

Keep the Corsa and invest in some extra punctuation and capitals.

There's no need for this, the chap asked for car advice not an English lesson.

With a username like that he deserves everything he gets! To my mind, if you want advice in coherent English, ask the question in coherent English.

Insurance will always be the killer for anything that is remotely interesting. Also, buying new because of the free insurance, check the terms as these days some are asking for 3 years claim free record before they will offer it to you and from what you are saying you only have one. Just check anyway, would be bad to buy a new car and find out later!!

Out of your list I would be tempted to say the VW as it will hold its value better whilst you earn a few years NCD to get some decent quotes on quicker stuff in the future. Or keep what you have another year, save a lot and then get something quicker then and you will also be able to stomach the insurance.

Just my thoughts

No need for the cross post, your thread in General Gassing is enough.
