A friend has recently bouht a 1976 Targa and is considering this garage as they are very local for him. Has anyone used them or have any experience of their work?
He is looking initially at getting all the window rubbers replaced and a little rust / paint bubbling sorted.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Alternatively, are there any other places he should be considering instead?

If it's who I think you mean he's worked on two 968s of mine as well as my 964 (and various other bits of kit over the last eight years or so). I'd recommend him - my all means send me a message if you want to check we're talking about the same person.

They're in the industrial estate which you get to by driving alongside the canal.

This is all a bit cloak and dagger isn't it? Can't you name the outfit? We're all aware of 'name and shame' policy but at least give those of us who failed at geography a clue!

I've just seen plenty of older Porsches going to and from there. I also don't know the name. Perhaps FraMac can tell us all, there haven't been any negative comments so name & shame shouldn't be an issue.

If you'd wanted the name bubbles you could have asked in your first post, its MGS, if its the folk I use.

Thanks, didn't mean to annoy anyone, just trying to help out a friend,

No worries - worth a look - I'm happy with the work they do for me. You and I may have shared some of the same track days - MGS did all the prep on my 968 (full cage, big brakes, kW3 etc) so I have a great deal of faith I'm them.

Didn't mean any offence to anyone with my post - I was just intrigued by who the Porsche specialist may have been. I move in 'Porsche circles' just a little bit but can't say I've heard of this outfit.

"I'm" should read "in". Curse you, Blackberry, and my sausage-like fingers.

It's OK, but I'm not Spartacus either. I will let my friend know of your good experiences. If we've been on mutual trackdays I apologise for being too slow.

Again, no worries, people have been known to record my laptimes with calendars.

You are referring to Clive Morison, Morison Garage Services! Yes, he is very good and won't rip you off or tell you any lies!! I have various cars worked on by him, and never any problems!! HTH
