Any recommendations of things to do in the Lake District next week?

Taking the kids up there for a few days. Kids being 5, 4 and 2 years old - so very little!

Monday is our annual easter Monday trip to the Glenridding duck race but rest of the week, nothing formal planned as yet.

Quite fancy the new motor museum but not sure it's the kids bag.

Thinking the Beatrix Potter museum, and perhaps a bit of a walk somewhere.

Weather-wise - looking out of my office window in Chester now, i'm banking on it not be cracking the flags with sunshine!

Is Honnister worth a visit??

Ravenglass and Eskdale railway is fun with little ones. You can hire a little motor boat (about £25) on Windermere, also on Windermere a short cruise to Lakeside will make the aquarium and Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway available. The aquarium is quite small but it's pretty child friendly. The railway isn't very long but again, fun for kids.
There is also the World of Beatrix Potter, but I'm unsure of the precise location.

They've got stuff going on over Easter:

We were there at Halloween last year; they had loads of great stuff for the kids to do.

Car museum is really good. Even my wife thought so!
Beatrix Potter museum was a waste of money for us. Got around it in 3 mins flat .
Always wanted to get to the south lakes zoo but never managed it yet
Good luck and let's hope the weather is a little warmer for you

Windermere Steamer combined with a trip on the Steam Railway. What's with Reghed though? We went there and it's just a Viking themed shopping centre smile

Duckies farm is worth a visit for the kids. There is also a pretty good zoo near Dalton.

There's a little ballpit in Bowness that our boys (7 and 3) sometimes like to pop into when we go to feed the ducks there, you can get a coffee or a bite to eat there, while they run around. The little grassy area opposite is always good for a bit of football/other sports.

We did just this and more this last weekend.
