It's been there since the place opened but I've never been able to think why. Any ideas? I've seen people taking photos of each other stood by it for some strange reason wobble

It belongs to the mother of the chairman of peel holdings - peel holdings own most of Manchester.

I see. Still doesn't explain why they leave it in there though!

There's a plaque next to it explaining why it's there. Can't remember the exact details though.

Blasphemy! How dare you offend the cathedral of the religion of shopping and (men and women) poncing about with a fake tan, silly haircut, sillier eyebrows and ridiculous clothes?!

In answer to the question, I wondered the same and the plaque alongside it says that it was the owner's mother's car. I'm not sure why he installed it there though.

A terrible place, but handy for an annual Christmas present hunt for non-www purchases.

We were all thinking that - thanks for speaking on behalf of the men of the NW!

Whenever I go there (occasionally), it's a bit of a culture shock. I mostly see Barbie dolls wearing industrial quantities of make-up (and those weird eyebrows) and ridiculous-looking, orange, fashion victim blokes who appear to have spent hours in front of the mirror in preparation for visiting what is just a massive building full of clothes shops.

At least it keeps them off the streets.

Was also thinking that.

it's like 'TOWIE' (whatever he is) - in one big building.

I honestly can't remember the last time I went though.

Hi. I only go if I need something. Have you visited the Lowry Outlet place? That's quite pleasant and I must admit the Quays is now simply stunning.

I think Peel Holdings has just bought The Lowry Centre too!
