Stubbylee Park/Moorlands Park - Bacup.

Afternoon all,
I don't usualy frequent this part of the board but I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I grew up in Shawforth, Whitworth in the 80's before moving to Aberdeen in the 90's with my family. I have some old vivid memories of going to Stubbylee park, near to Bacup with my mum and dad when I was younger and there being an old fighter plane of some kind right at the back. My 2 brothers and I used to clamber all over it and take turns "flying" the plane.
Is it still there? Does anyone else remember this? Was I fed mushrooms as a child?
Many thanks! Any information is appreciated. I can't find anything online through google as most searches point to the poor lassy who was killed near there a few years ago.

Guessing at one point, yes there was a plane. But it has gone now AFAIK.
