Driving Experience Days

Afternoon all,

The good lady has £2,000 to spend on a driving experience day for 4 people, so is looking for recommendations, criteria being:

Within 2 hour's drive of mid-Cheshire
Maximum time in car as driver
Good choice of exotica

I imagine that £500 a throw would get a good deal, but all I can seem to find are packages for around £200 which give you no more than 6 miles in a couple of supercars - barely enough time to get comfortable.

All suggestions, especially those based on personal experience, would be appreciated

I went to watch a friend do one based at at MIRA a month or two back, he really enjoyed it. It wasn't run by MIRA they were just using the facilities but the location did add a bit of cache'. There was a certain amount of standing around but to be fair I think that's pretty normal. My main criticism of that specific one would be that some of the cars were a bit battered, i.e. a TVR had a crooked bumper and a GTR had a front corner taken off it. You couldn't tell once you were in them of course but if you wanted to buy pics it was an issue. On the plus side he wasn't limited by the instructors at all, I've heard of people going to other places where they baby you or tell you off for doing more than 4000rpm etc. but they were just telling him to go for it the whole time, the only time someone told him to chill was when he jumped in the Ferrari nailed it through 1st and 2nd at WOT

Thanks for the replies gents. She likes the idea that you can pay to add more laps to the standard package, so will be contacting these guys for a chat.
