Went to the Butley Ash last week and am off out into Macc again tonight. I'm taking a girl out for a second date so somewhere relatively relaxed would be great. Are there any nice pubs near the Butley Ash on London Road? I've also put a thread in the NW forum but thought this might get a bit more traffic.

The Lord Clyde - go back towards Macc, turn left at second roundabout and then first right.

The Vale Inn, Bollington - very nice food. It's on Adlington road. But keep it down when you're leaving as I live three doors away and have a 6am flight tomorrow.

thumbup Cheers for that, I'll ask her to keep the noise down wink
Presumably it's a nice place to go for a drink and chat?

Windmill at Whiteley Green, just off the A523 (signposted I think).

I'd go along with the Vale Inn too.

Is the Flower Pot any good?
(Does Greasy Gordon's still exist?)

if you're 17 and on lunch from Macc College, suppose it would be OK!

The last time we eat at the Butley Ash, I vowed I'd never go back vomit! Windmill is a good shout though as is Lloyd Clyde (if you dont like to be overfaced with large portions getmecoat)

Leigh arms prestbury is nice, esp. On a sunday for roast. Windmill great, unless it's quiet then lacks atmosphere.
