Does anyone know of any cheap city centre (or walkable), car parks in Manchester. Looking at sub £10 all day from 10 to 4pm?

Under the railway arches near MOSI and Dukes 92 Castlefield. £5 all day and I've never had any bother.

Euro Carparks Owen street car park, very close to Deansgate station:

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=deansgate&hl=...

I used to use it every day, and it's cheap and safe.

about £4 for 10 hours if i am right, it's a open spaced car park on store street near piccadilly station.you can walk up the station for free shuttle bus to the centre.
i often parked there if i am going to have a walk in the city centre.

oh by the way there few long stay car parks around the inner ring road, one of those is on oldham road opposite the chinese supermarket, but i forgot how much was it. You can walk into the city centre in 10-15 minutes.

Where abouts in the city centre are you going to?

Arches in Castlefield are safe as said above (I live next to the arches and have never seen any problems...might be £6 a day now though)

But there's also cheap parking just off Deansgate in Salford so depends which end/area of town you're heading to.

Denmark Road, down the side of the Whitworth art gallery.

If you're getting there early, it's one of the few places to park in central Manchester that's free wink

Not very safe, and you've got to make sure you're off the regulated parking places... But yeah, it's free.

Not sure I'd say a 20 minute bus ride is central though.

Well, one of the reasons why it's a 20 minute bus ride is because the buses are stuck in a near-permanent traffic jam. It takes about 20 minutes for me to walk from there to Oxford Street.

Not a word of a lie there, but parking up there widens the radius rather a lot.

Hi guys

Need a cheap car park in central manchester.
I've got a new contract in the city near the old bbc buiding/ Palace Theatre.

Im having to pay it out of my pocket as its the base office, usually worked in various city's and never had to pay so i used to pop into the closet as i could claim it back.

Since its coming out of my pocket need it to be cheap as poss, dont mind walking providing its not to far.
I know about the Boddingtons car park near men that way to far every morning - somehting closer is needed.

Many thanks

When I was a student, I had ways of learning the keycode for the aquatics centre car park. Parking whenever one liked for free, until a stiffly worded note on the windscreen scared me off.

That isn't at all useful to you.

(but the car park near the old hacienda isn't far away, how much is that? Otherwise, under the arches near MOSI is a 10 minute walk and £5)

this is where i always park

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=53.486314,-2....

its a small carpark that goes under the the larger NCP and goes up to the side of the railway. 2 mins walk from the print-works. always less than £5 for all day. it's also manned all of the time so is safe.

if you park before 8.30am the arndale carpark is only about £4.30 a day - cheaper than getting the train in for me when I was on a course the other week....

Often use the one mentioned under the arches when in castlefield as well...

Probably too late now, but I've just discovered Silvercroft street - £1.50 all day if you're going after 9:30, but it's hit and miss whether there's any spaces as people tend to park like w@nkers!
