Serious question here - why do you enjoy it? I've only been the once, 9 years ago, and found it overpriced with a lot of vehicles that I wouldn't call "Classic" or a "Sportscar". I'm not here to debate what's worthy of classic status, or to pick a fight - I'm genuinely interested, and want to know if I'm missing something.

Hiya Fane give it another go mate. It's basically a re-run of the June show which is classed as the Classic and Sportscar show.

It's certainly not expensive to get in to compared to some other shows and it's easy to park up......OK people get p1ssed off having to pay to get into the park (including melaugh) but all in it's only a tenner.

As for the cars, you just may have gone on a bad day, Loads of mint Astons/Lotus/Ferrari/TVR and the rest and basically everything from the unafordable to the mint 1967 Vauxhall Viva that the old guy has owned from new and has done 17000 miles.............I think it's a cracking show only bettered by the "original" Woodvale rally.

Only downsides, again in my opinion only is the Auto Jumble............Ebay has knackered it and bargains are simply not there, it is also jam packed with cheap tool stalls and tat............only thing I buy there is polishing stuff for the year.

I won't be going this weekend though as with going in June it's like Deja-vu to do it again so soon.

Cheers
Kenny

Thanks for posting, I'll try get to this Sunday if I can get it off work. £7.50 + Normal park entry - does that make it £10?

You should buk in advance. It will cost you nothing at all, you can put your car in with the age related classes and if all els fails and you deceide not to go then you have not lost anything.

I reckon I'd be travelling up in the A3, rather than the Mini or the Landy SIII!

You can always use the, " my mate has left my tickets at the gate for me " i used it for over 10 years it always works untill my wife baned me from doing it. How i have to apply for tickets, its took all the fun out of it. By the time the entrance prople have fafed about with you there is 20 cars behind you and they just want you out of the way. Its never failed for me

We'll be heading over to the Wirral charity show in an hour or so (Chimaera), should be a good day and definitely a good cause. Hope the weather forcast is wrong though, looks naff for both that and Tatton even though it's sunny as I type this.

KateV8 grey one ? car looks gorgeous in that colour, not seen it done before but it was a factory option ?
didn't like the music competition, young singer trying to compete with the ba11s being reved off cars and boom boom speakers playing elbow from the back of some aho1es BMW est, other than that, good event and all for a good cause,
PS I do like Elbow, especially, one day like this wink

Hi yes that was us in the grey Chim, not sure what the official name for the colour is as the handbook lists Starmist Silver, it sure ain't silver and has never been resprayed. A good show for a good cause, agreed on the music though some acts more than others!
