Would love to have a similar meeting place for shows and events all year round, wondered what people thought, obviously have to be petrolhead friendly. wink

There's a petrol head friendly cafe near Holywell, so North Wales rather than North West. Has big car park tho.

There is something in the pipeline about this already.

I cannot say anything more, except if it happens then it truly will be an Ace Cafe for the North West.

Hmm, interesting Phil, I was a key member in a meeting about just this a couple of years back, I will chat to you at the next meet, we had some very positive ideas.

How do you contact member on here? Other forums allow you to click the members name and email/PM etc?
Never tried on here before ???

Well, bit of digging on DUEDIL reveals a dormant Merseyside company connected with the London Ace Cafe called Ace Cafe Events, with a director chap with the initials GT, who may well own a DB7...maybe a connection there?

Of course, I may be completely and utterly mistaken!

That's closer to Scotland than most of the Northwest. :-)

I'm guessing it'd have to be somewhere within the Warrington / Manchester / Preston triangle.

Central to the Northwest road network perhaps?

I heard Amari was looking at incorporating an Ace Cafe style setup at his place? Not a bad idea as he's the main supercar dealer in the NW....

I'd be open to the idea of having something along the lines of a Pistonhead blat starting and finishing at Gawsworth Hall. There are some fantastic roads on the doorstep, the tea room could be open and there's plenty of parking.

Great location! I would certainly put my name down for that.

Well, there seems to be a bit of interest and to be honest I would probably like to keep it small & low key. I'd bring something interesting and an Ariel Atom and a TVR 350 would be great company. How much notice do you chaps need, probably a Sunday morning would work best, do we take advantage of the current good weather?

I'm thinking of a loop from Gawsworth over to Chatsworth and back again, via the back roads which makes for a good run, with some of the finest roads anywhere in the UK.

If you've got something intersting, preferably classic or exotic maybe you'd like to join us.

A Sunday morning would work for me or a weekday evening whothout more than a weeks notice, an excellent route too.

Though the T350 has been replaced with an Exige S

Short notice but Friday the 27th July would be a good evening looking at the weather forecast. The roads should also be quiet as it's the opening ceremony. The run should take about an hour and a half or so, start time can suit the assembled company. If Friday's no good we could maybe look at Sunday 5th August (morning) as another possibility.

I can't make tomorrow evening and I'm away all next weekend but a run out on Sunday would work or any evening next week? Who else is planning to attend?

I wouldn't mind a run out a week on sunday, esp as I missed the cottage loaf meet frown
